Erasmus+ project “Ambition, Collaboration, and E-sports Development” (ACE)
The ACE e-sports project started with the idea of giving young people the opportunity to learn event management for e-sports competitions in real-world settings – not just in classrooms or on Discord. The project was initially put on paper, and partners were sought to help spread the word to the right youth.
Through this project, information reached the youth of Tartu who had previously been involved in organizing TEC 2.0 and other youth events. The first joint meeting took place in Tartu, where we got to know each other, discussed expectations, and agreed that we would start building a real e-sports event organizing team from scratch.
This is how the ACE team was formed:
Young organizers from Tartu (including team members with experience from TEC 2.0)
Mentors with a background in event marketing, technical production, and youth work
Partners from Lithuania, with whom we are moving forward on the international path.
ACE has already taken us to the big stages:
Assembly Summer (Finland) – 4 young Estonians, along with mentors, gained practical experience at one of Northern Europe's largest e-sports and LAN festivals.
GameON (Lithuania) – 4 young Estonians, along with mentors, participated in supporting the organization of Lithuania's largest gaming culture event.
In addition, training sessions on tournament organization, streaming, marketing, partnerships, and technical production were held in both Estonia and Lithuania.
All of this culminates now in the ACE project’s final work – our own e-sports event organized in Estonia. Thanks to this impressive project, the Tartu e-sports event Game in Tartu is being born – a festival initiated, planned, and executed by the youth themselves, which serves both as an educational process and a business card for future projects and collaborations.
